SUMMARY:2024 Traumatic Brain Injury Model Systems Leadership Forum
DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n\n\n\nWednesday\, April 10th – Friday\, April 12th\, 2024  \nThe Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Model Systems Leadership Forum provides an opportunity for the exchange of clinical\, programmatic\, administrative\, regulatory\, health care reform\, payer\, equipment/ technology\, education\, outcome\, and research information related to brain injury rehabilitation. The Forum seeks to enhance TBI rehabilitation services and promote best practices and efficiency/standardization of care on a national level through participation of leadership representatives from member centers serving in a managerial\, program development\, or other clinically focused administrative roles. The Forum encourages participant continuity from year to year thereby strengthening ongoing networking and ensuring progression toward stated goals. Invitees are limited to staff from current or formerly NIDILRR-funded TBI Model System. \nLearning Objectives \n• Present current topics relevant to TBI rehabilitation in an atmosphere that encourages discussion\, learning\, and problem solving around practice concerns• Provide a forum for networking and benchmarking with other facilities• Assemble and disseminate evidence-based practice information and guidelines• Identify\, review\, and share research efforts at each facility and provide a forum for research collaboration• Review and critique standards of care\, equipment\, products\, and emerging technology• Develop a network of experts and associated listserv for future inquiries and sharing \nIntended Audience \n• Physical Therapists• Occupational Therapists• Speech-Language Pathologists• Rehabilitation Registered Nurses \nEach Model System group is allowed to send up to five attendees.
