Jessi Vaught, PT, DPT, NCS, is the Physical Therapy Advisor at Sheltering Arms Institute. As a member of the clinical science team, she supports the physical therapy department in mentoring, student programs, knowledge translation, clinical practice guideline use, advanced rehab technology implementation, and program development. She serves as a facility reviewer on the Sheltering Arms Institute Protocol Review Oversight Committee and as a reviewer/judge for the annual Sheltering Arms Institute Research Symposium and Abstract Awards.
Prior to her current position, Jessi was a full-time clinician in inpatient rehabilitation. Jessi has a passion for those with neurological diagnoses and earned her Neurologic Clinical Specialist (NCS) in 2012. Jessi has been a mentor in the Sheltering Arms-VCU Physical Therapy Neuro Residency Program and currently serves as a manager in the program. Her current research includes the Traumatic Brain Injury Model System module Care4TBI in developing therapy standard reporting across 16 participating sites. She has presented at multiple national and international conferences. Jessi is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University.
