Gisela Hornberger, MS, CCC-SLP, is a member of the speech-language pathology team at Sheltering Arms Institute and specializes in the evaluation and treatment of neurogenic communication and swallowing disorders. Gisela completed her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology with honors at Radford University in 2009. After gaining experience in skilled, acute, and long-term acute care, she joined the Sheltering Arms Institute team in July 2024. She is a proud lifelong learner and has earned multiple specialty certifications, including Ampcare, Vital-Stim, Manual Therapy for Speech and Swallowing, and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES). In her free time, Gisela enjoys traveling, reading, music, and spending time with friends and family.
