Sean Whittaker, PT, DPT, OCS at Sheltering Arms Institute’s Reynolds outpatient center is a board certified clinical specialist in orthopedics. Sean utilizes manual therapy in conjunction with corrective exercises to return patients to their functional goals. He has a special interest in management of the spine, lower quarter athletic and running injuries, bicycling related injuries, and foot orthotics.
Sean graduated from Shenandoah University with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2008. He completed an American Physical Therapy Association accredited orthopedic residency through the Virginia Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy Institute in Charlottesville, VA in 2016.
Sean is currently a member of Richmond’s chapter of the International Mountain Bike Association, trains with a local Richmond triathlon team and participates in long distance cycling races. He enjoys spending time with his wife and exploring the great outdoors.
