Diabetes Self-Management (Class Series)

Do you live with diabetes, or know someone who does?

Sheltering Arms Institute, in partnership with The SPAN Center, are offering a 6-week evidence-based diabetes education class. Adults with diabetes, friends, family members, and caregivers are welcome to participate.

 

When: Each Thursday from March 5 through April 9 from 1-2:30 p.m.

Where: In person at Sheltering Arms Institute’s Main Campus (2000 Wilkes Ridge Dr. Henrico, VA 23233) or virtually via Microsoft Teams

Cost: Free!

 

Learning Objectives:

  • Nutrition and healthy eating
  • Preventing complications
  • Working with your health care provider
  • Skin & foot care
  • Preventing/monitoring low blood sugar
