Not everyone who has experienced a brain injury will require inpatient physical rehabilitation; some people begin outpatient physical rehab directly following a brain injury while others transition to outpatient as the next step in their recovery.
Our network of outpatient centers in Richmond and throughout Central Virginia offer the physical, occupational, speech-language, and recreational therapies you need to recover at locations convenient to your home or work.
Our experienced outpatient therapists work closely with patients and their caregivers to support meaningful recovery. Every treatment plan is personalized, goal-oriented, and designed to reflect each individual.
We offer physical, occupational, and speech therapy in the outpatient setting in addition to recreational therapy through the Club Rec program at Sheltering Arms. Our therapists use evidence-based approaches and advanced rehabilitation technology to help maximize function and independence.
The length of outpatient therapy varies based on individual needs, ranging from several visits to several months. Our team will continually assess your progress to ensure the right level of care at every stage of recovery.
