Rehabilitation Nursing

Our rehabilitation nurses work with both the patient and their families to help with any limitations that may be the result of an injury, disability, or illness. Our nurses are here to ensure the patient reaches their recovery goals and progresses towards a successful discharge from Sheltering Arms Institute. Our team of rehab nurses have the combined expertise to help with all challenges whether physical, mental or emotional.

While our family of rehabilitation nurses has a strong focus on traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injuries, and stroke rehabilitation, we have the needed expertise and state-of-the-science technologies to exceed the physical rehabilitation expectations of all patients that come through our doors.

The DAISY Award is an international recognition program started in memory of J. Patrick Barnes. Pat’s family experienced first-hand the difference his nurses made in his care through clinical excellence and outstanding compassionate care. The family created The DAISY Award to express gratitude to nurses and to enable other patients, families, and staff to thank and honor their special nurses.
