Matter of Balance (Class Series) June 27, 2025 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am Matter of Balance (Class Series) A Matter of Balance (MOB) is specifically designed to reduce the fear of falling and improve activity levels among community-dwelling older adults. The program includes eight two-hour classes presented to a small group of 8-12 participants led by trained coaches. The program enables participants to reduce the fear of falling by learning to view falls as controllable, setting goals for increasing activity levels, making small changes to reduce fall risks at home, and exercise to increase strength and balance.

This session will explore the Tobii Eye Gaze, a power tool that enables individuals with limited mobility to communicate, learn, and interact with their environment using only their eyes. Participants will gain an understanding of how eye-tracking technology works, its application to daily living, best practices for setup and utilization as well as funding options. The session will include a hands-on opportunity to trial the Tobii, allowing participants to experience its functionality firsthand.
