Everybody at Sheltering Arms Institute was so nice and so helpful. They asked me what my goals were, pushed me a lot, and gave me great feedback. It was very easy for me to navigate being back home because they taught me a whole lot from moving around in a wheelchair, to using a walker and then a cane, to now walking with a prosthetic. I never thought I’d be at the level that I am now. I work the same way I did before, drive, go up and down stairs, cook in the kitchen, and walk the dog. I feel normal again.
