The Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Model Systems Leadership Forum provides an opportunity for the exchange of clinical, programmatic, administrative, regulatory, health care reform, payer, equipment/ technology, education, outcome, and research information related to brain injury rehabilitation. The Forum seeks to enhance TBI rehabilitation services and promote best practices and efficiency/standardization of care on a national level through participation of leadership representatives from member centers serving in a managerial, program development, or other clinically focused administrative roles.

Stroke Survivor Reunion

We are excited to to host our first Stroke Survivor Reunion Event honoring our 2023 stroke program graduates on Saturday, May 4th from 1-4 p.m. in the Bridge Garden at Sheltering Arms Institute! This event will bring together former patients, caregivers, care team members, and community partners to celebrate accomplishments and provide an opportunity for patients to connect with other stroke survivors and reunite with members of their care team.

MyLife Assistive Technology Educational Series: Troubleshooting

This education series explores how assistive technology empowers individuals to control their surroundings, enhancing independence and quality of life. This series will cover devices, troubleshooting, introduction to user training and funding options to ensure effective use of the highlighted device.

This session will provide practical strategies for troubleshooting assistive technology across both low-tech and high-tech solutions. The session will cover best practices for identifying issues, implementing quick fixes, resources to use and knowing when to seek further technical support.

MyLife Assistive Technology Educational Series: Obi Self-Feeder

This education series explores how assistive technology empowers individuals to control their surroundings, enhancing independence and quality of life. This series will cover devices, troubleshooting, introduction to user training and funding options to ensure effective use of the highlighted device.

This session will introduce participants to the innovative assistive technology device, the Obi, designed to promote independence in mealtime activities. Participants will learn about the device’s features, benefits and funding options. The session will include a hands-on opportunity to trial the Obi, allowing participants to experience its functionality firsthand.
